About Me
My name is Alvin Reynolds, and I’m writing to announce my interest in running for the vacated City Council seat in the City of South Fulton here in Georgia, representing District 7. I would greatly appreciate if you would support my campaign with your votes and donations, both monetary and volunteer hours. Your support would help me bring added stability, honesty, and integrity to the constituents of our great city—fulfilling the needs that will set our jurisdiction on a trajectory of growth.
Community
Alvin’s community activism stretches back some 20 years, having been elected homeowners’ association (HOA) president of his South Fulton community. He has served as Vice Chair—and later as Chairman—of the city’s planning commission board and has fought consistently for equitable development and community housing. He has fought for the right to have sidewalks on our streets, and to protect green spaces throughout our great city, causes near and dear to the people of South Fulton. His company, SR Management Group continues to support education through initiatives such as an essay competition at S.L. Lewis Elementary culminating in a class field trip. Alvin understands where we were before our great city was incorporated and recognizes where we are today.
Career
Alvin has expert level understanding of city ordinance rules and regulations. He holds certifications in plumbing, refrigeration, electrical heating and air, and a Georgia Power engineer boilers license. He has decades of experience in building development, project management, and financial budgeting. With 17 years experience as the director of engineering for interstate hotels and resorts, he has an expert understanding of city ordinances, rules, and regulations.
And now serving as Director of Engineering with Crestview Management Company, he has overseen millions of dollars in projects while delivering excellent customer service to people like you.
Education
Alvin’s certification and licensing studies at Oak Ridge University and Chattanooga State Technical College—both located in Chattanooga, TN—and at Ferris State University and DeKalb Technical here in GA—have equipped him with invaluable business skills. His stable work ethic and focus on family and community have equally prepared him for the next chapter: being elected as a South Fulton City Councilman representing District 7.
He continues to support education in the community as exemplified by his support of local schools through his service on the Student Governance Council at S.L. Lewis Elementary School.
